Three live sites, for three firms that needed three different things. Every screenshot below is the real site, and every one of them was built by our team.
A portfolio is the only honest way to show web design.
Law firm web design is the work of turning a visit into a call. Not a gallery of pretty screens: a structure that puts the practice area, the proof and the phone number where a person in trouble will find them in seconds.
So instead of describing it, here are three sites we built, what each firm needed, and what we did about it. The screenshots are the live pages, captured from the top. Scroll inside each window to see the rest.
What goes into a build, step by step, is on the website design page. What these same firms did in search afterwards is in the case studies.
Three firms. Three different problems.
The Law Office of Michael C. MacNeil
The Law Office of Michael C. MacNeil
San Diego, California · Family law and criminal defense
A solo attorney covering two practice areas that rarely share a visitor. The site splits family law and criminal defense from the first screen, puts the phone number and the consultation button where the eye lands, and gives each area its own page instead of one list that tries to serve everyone.
Torrance and the South Bay, California · Personal injury
Personal injury, where the visit often happens on a phone, days after an accident, and the firm that answers first signs the case. The build is mobile first, the call button travels with the page, and the case types are named the way clients name them, not the way the statute does.
Washington State · Record expungement and firearm rights
Two narrow services that people research privately before they ever call. The site answers the eligibility questions on the page, in plain language, so the visitor arrives at the form already knowing whether the firm can help.
The same structure that makes a page easy for a client to scan is what makes it easy for a search engine, and now an assistant, to quote. One build serves all three.
A page per practice area
Not one services page with a list. Each area a firm wants cases in gets a page written for the searches that area actually gets.
The phone, always reachable
Call and form within reach on every screen size. The visit is worth nothing if the call does not happen.
Yours from the first day
You own the site, the content and the accounts. If you ever leave, all of it stays with you.
Questions about the work.
Did you build these websites?
Yes. The three sites on this page were designed and built by our team, and the firms are the same ones in our case studies. The screenshots are the live sites, captured from the top of the home page.
How long does a law firm website take to build?
Six to eight weeks when we move an existing site, closer to ten to twelve for a site built from the ground up. Most of that calendar is not design time, it is decisions and content: which practice areas get their own page, which markets you want to be found in, and who at the firm signs off.
Do I have to do SEO with you to get a website?
No. The build stands on its own. It is also the cheapest moment to get the structure right, which is why most firms that do both start here.
